Safety Guidelines for Batteries
Using lithium batteries in vaping devices requires strict precautions. To ensure your safety and that of your equipment, please follow the recommendations below:
Safe Use
- Use only batteries compatible with your device. Check size, chemistry, and discharge rate.
- Always respect battery polarity (+ and -) when inserting into a mod or charger.
- Store unused batteries in a protective case, never loose in your pocket or bag.
What to Avoid
- Never use a damaged battery: dented, torn wrap, leaking, or corroded.
- Never carry a battery without protection alongside metallic objects (keys, coins, etc.) to avoid short-circuiting.
- Do not disassemble or modify a battery.
Paired Use
- Always use two identical batteries (same brand, model, capacity, and wear level) in dual-battery mods.
- Charge and discharge them together, at the same time, to prevent imbalance.
- Never mix a new battery with a used one, even if identical in appearance.
- Keep battery pairs matched and do not swap them between devices.
Charging
- Use a dedicated external charger, certified and high-quality, with automatic shut-off.
- Never leave a battery charging unattended.
- Unplug the charger as soon as charging is complete.
Avoid Deep Discharge
- Recharge your batteries before they are completely empty, ideally when they reach around 3.4 V.
- Never leave a battery fully discharged for an extended period.
- Low voltage (< 2.5 V) can lead to loss of capacity, swelling, or permanent failure.
- Use a smart charger that detects and protects against deep discharge.
Temperature and Storage
- Store batteries at room temperature, away from humidity and excessive heat.
- Never expose them to direct heat sources such as a radiator, oven, or hot surface.
- Absolutely avoid leaving a battery in a parked vehicle under the sun, even briefly — temperatures can exceed 70°C and cause thermal runaway.
- Do not use batteries in extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 60°C).
- For long-term storage, keep the charge level around 40–60 %.
End of Life
- Do not throw batteries in the trash! Take them to a proper recycling point (vape shop, collection center, or recycling facility).
